LIFE ON LENS - OUR MANDATE:

"We exist to document the extraordinary humanitarian achievements of women and children around the world and in doing so create understanding, cause appreciation and generate support for their noble works."

Life on Lens is and will remain a not-for-profit organization.

YOUTH INTERACTIVE

WE PROMISE THAT 100% OF FUND RAISED BY STUDENTS AND SCHOOLS WHO PARTICIPATE IN THIS PROGRAM GO DIRECTLY TO HELP THEIR COUNTERPARTS IN NEED. WE RECOGNIZE THAT THE MONEY RAISED DOES NOT BELONG TO US AND THAT WE HAVE A RESPONSIBILITY TO BE TRANSPARENT AND ACCOUNTABLE. NO PART OF OUR ORGANIZATION'S RUNNING COSTS ARE MET BY STUDENT'S FUNDRAISING.
OUR MISSION:

We have seven fundamental values, which guide and determine our actions as an NGO

WE FOCUS ON WOMEN AND CHILDREN WHEN RESPONDING TO HUMAN NEED

We are an advocacy non - profit organization dedicated to working with women, children, families and communities to overcome poverty and injustice. In whatever we do, we place a special emphasis on ensuring the needs and rights of women and children are met, because they are often the hardest hit by conflict, disaster and chronic poverty.

WE ARE LEADERS IN TRANSPARENCY

How are we different?

Life On Lens was created to provide its supporters with total visible accountability.

We believe people have had enough of corruption and it is now time for radical change. We believe people want to be involved and tangibly see where and how their funds are making a difference on the ground. We believe together we can make the greatest difference and the time has come to work together.

Life On Lens uses the powers of modern media in order to provide its supporters and donors with ultimate accountability, respect & visible transparency every step of the way. Using modern media in Aid is a new way to support the supporters, the changers, the improvers whose great work can be made greater and more effective through increased public exposure.

Our mission is to keep raising awareness as well as funds for the under-recognized and we will keep using film and modern media as a tool to offer our donors and supporters, real tangible, accountable, visible working results.

WE ARE THE PEOPLE'S CHARITY

We are thought of as the people's charity, because we work together with our donors and offer an honest, visibly impact where you can tangibly see for yourself on film the results we promise. We are transparent, willing to take intelligent risks and act quickly but even together we will not end world poverty, nor injustice. We will not change societies, nor governments. What we will do together, is right some wrongs, cure some ills and the world will see and hear about it.

WE HOLD A RESPONSIBILITY TO YOU

We feel the resources at our disposal are not our own and so we speak and act honestly as a modern responsible NGO. While most charities pour money into projects from the top down, often resulting in more than a little spillage. We demand of ourselves high standards of professional competence and financial accountability. Together we share a quest for better education for all, justice, peace, reconciliation, care, nurturing entrepreneurship, and healing in a broken world.

WE LISTEN TO REAL NEEDS BY HAVING A BOTTOM UP POLICY OF ACTION

This isn't about just giving. This is about working together for a better world and providing visible support where it is most needed. As a result we work in partnership with small non - profit grassroots organizations in an effort to act inclusively and collaboratively within existing community structures

WE ARE PARTNERS

We seek to facilitate an engagement between the poor and the affluent that opens both to transformation. The need for transformation is common to all. Once we enter into a partnership, we are engaged in an effective deep - seated relationship and we will not shy away from economic and social deprivation calls for sustainable, long-term development.

WE RESPECT BELIEFS AND CULTURES

Life On Lens respects the religious beliefs and practices in countries where it operates, and seeks mutual understanding with people of all faiths and none.
Financial TransparencyWe believe that the money raised by you and the time donated by our partners is not ours but belongs to the community that supports us. In light of this we have a responsibility to be clear where all these contributions are spent. This page outlines exactly where all donations, financial or voluntary are put to work in the Youth Interactive program.
